The cast statue of Phra Sangkajai, Wat Chinoras, B.E. 2512 (1969), stamped with the ‘Chor Ror’ code at the base, is classified as one of the ultimate sacred amulets highly popular and sought after in the amulet circle.

History of Creation: Wat Chinorasaram (Wat Chinoras) in Thonburi organized the creation of a massive batch of amulets in the year B.E. 2512. The primary objective was to raise funds for the restoration and repair of dilapidated monastic dwellings and permanent structures within the temple. During this creation, various molds and types were made. One of the most outstanding and popular models is the cast Phra Sangkajai statue, which is a symbol of abundance and fortune. At the bottom of the base, the code letters ‘Chor Ror’ (ชร) are stamped, an abbreviation of Wat Chinoras. This was done to prevent forgery and serves as a crucial identity mark that clearly confirms its authenticity and origin.

Materials: The amulet was cast from mixed metals, commonly referred to in the circle as ‘mixed brass’ (Nuea Thong Phasom), which possesses inherent magical properties. The main materials consist of metal sheets inscribed with Yantra (mystical scripts) by famous guru monks nationwide, old metal casting remnants (Chanuan), old Takruts, and brass fragments from damaged ancient Buddha statues. These were melted together at high temperatures, resulting in the metal texture of each amulet appearing natural, with genuine aging, casting stains, and an easily recognizable surface patina. This is truly the charm of ancient cast amulets from the 2500+ B.E. era.

Rituals: This was considered one of the grandest Maha Phutthaphisek (Great Consecration) ceremonies of that era. The temple invited numerous top-tier guru monks with powerful magical disciplines in Thailand at that time to sit in intense meditation and bless the amulets. The notable monks include:

  • Luang Phor Guay of Wat Kositaram

  • Luang Pu Toh of Wat Pradu Chimphli

  • Luang Phor Phrom of Wat Chong Khae

  • Luang Pu Suk of Wat Pho Sai Thong

  • Ajahn Nam of Wat Donsala Having these ultimate guru monks jointly bless the amulets ensures that the psychic power and Buddha’s grace embedded within this batch are exceptionally sacred and perfectly complete in all aspects.

Experiences: Devotees who worship this amulet have encountered remarkable experiences, particularly regarding ‘Chok Lap’ (luck) and ‘Phokhasap’ (wealth and treasures). Many share the same testament that during times of economic stagnation, wearing the Phra Sangkajai of Wat Chinoras or placing it in their shops often helps their businesses prosper, drawing a continuous flow of customers and keeping them safe from financial crises. Furthermore, through the immense merit of Luang Phor Guay and Luang Phor Phrom, worshippers have also experienced Klaew Klaad (safety and evasion from accidents) and Metta Mahaniyom (great popularity and loving-kindness), gaining patronage and support from superiors.

(Luang Phor Guay)

(Luang Pu Toh)

(Luang Phor Phrom)

(Luang Pu Suk)
