History and Purpose of Creation

The Paladkik Vanara (Hanuman Hugging Paladkik) B.E. 2541 (1998) is one of the most celebrated talismanic amulets created by Luang Pho Sakorn Manunyo of Wat Nong Krub, Rayong Province. Luang Pho Sakorn was the direct top disciple of the legendary Luang Pu Tim of Wat Lahan Rai.

• Creation Date: Formally consecrated during the annual Wai Kru (Teacher Homage) ceremony on March 19, 1998 (B.E. 2541).
• Purpose: Created to raise funds for the restoration of monastic buildings and the ongoing development of Wat Nong Krub in Ban Khai District, Rayong.
• Concept: Luang Pho Sakorn combined the sacred power of Paladkik (symbol of charm, mercy, and fortune) with the invincible force of the Vanara (Hanuman, representing agility, power, protection, and immortality).
