History of Creation: Takrud Wirun Chambaeng by Luang Pho Kuay, Wat Khosittharam
The Takrud Wirun Chambaeng of Luang Pho Kuay Chutinthonro, Wat Khosittharam, is one of the most powerful and legendary amulets he ever created. Made during the peak of his fame in magical arts and protective yant (mid-to-late life), it has become an icon—so famous that it is even mentioned in the film Thi Yot 2 (The Medium 2) as an extraordinarily potent charm that can make even the black-robed spirit bow in submission.
Approximate Creation Period Luang Pho Kuay created the Takrud Wirun Chambaeng roughly between BE 2505–2512 (some sources indicate it began around BE 2505–2508 and continued into the 2510s).
- At that time, he was about 57–64 years old (born BE 2448, passed away BE 2524). Still strong and meticulous, he personally handled every step: hand-drawing the yant, rolling it, and consecrating each piece (legends say he sometimes worked day and night for disciples).
- Inherited from his teacher Luang Pu Sri of Wat Phra Prang, the originator of the Wirun Chambaeng yant (supreme protective yant for concealment and suppressing negativity).
- In later years (after BE 2510s), some were made as waist-worn sets or included in the “Mother General” takrud bundle (2 pieces, larger one being the Wirun Chambaeng yant).
Distinctive Features & Creation Process
- Material: Usually double-metal (two different metal sheets layered, e.g., copper + lead, or copper + brass/lead). Length approximately 3.5–5 inches (mostly 4 inches). Sacred ink for hand-drawn yant, tightly bound with holy thread or cord.
- Wirun Chambaeng Yant: Supreme-grade yant for body concealment, suppressing all inauspicious forces, great charm (metta-maha-niyom), wealth, invulnerability, and fate enhancement (complete mantra and yant formula, including business and prosperity aspects).
- Every piece was made personally by Luang Pho Kuay—never mass-produced. Authentic old pieces often show patina and rust (nearly 60–70 years old as of 2026).
Notable Blessings The Takrud Wirun Chambaeng by Luang Pho Kuay is regarded as one of his ultimate protective and concealment amulets:
- Great concealment / body invisibility (vanishing from sight, hiding from harm, warding off misfortune and sorrow)
- Invulnerability & danger protection (kongkraphan chatri – bulletproof, knife-proof)
- Great charm & popularity (metta-maha-niyom – strong attraction, likability, influence)
- Wealth & fortune (business prosperity, steady money flow)
- Fate enhancement (suppressing bad karma, turning misfortune into good luck) Numerous miracle stories from devotees include escaping fatal dangers, surviving attacks, or dramatic life improvements (full power requires maintaining precepts and sincere devotion).
