Phra Somdej from Luang Pho Thun (also known as Luang Pho Phaithun or Luang Pho Thun) of Wat Pho Nimitr (or Wat Phothinimitr) in Bangkok, Batch 2 (second edition), year B.E. 2512. The full name is Phra Somdej Ket Mongkhon (or Phra Somdej Kesa Mongkhon), made from sacred powder.
Creation and Main Materials
- Year created: B.E. 2512 (1969)
- Materials: Used the same sacred powder set from the first batch (B.E. 2485), received from Somdet Phutthacharn Nawam of Wat Anongkharam, who was Luang Pho Thun’s main teacher. Mixed with various sacred substances, such as:
- Sacred powder from Luang Pu Suk of Wat Pak Klong Makham Tao
- Sacred powder from Luang Pho Sot of Wat Pak Nam (personally requested by Luang Pho Thun, as both were from Suphan Buri province)
- Powder from Phra Somdej Wat Rakhang, ancient powder amulets from Wat Sam Pluem, various ancient powder from temple crypts (e.g., Khanaen Sangha crypt, royal restoration crypt in Ayutthaya)
- Metal filing powder from Phra Kring by Chao Khun Sonthi of Wat Suthat, metal filing from the 25th Buddhist Century milestone
- Yantra paper with 108 yantras in the Wat Suthat tradition
- Soil from the four sacred Buddhist sites, 108 auspicious herbs, Itthije powder, Pathamang powder, Maharat powder, etc.
