History of Creation: Phra Somdej “Long Pim” (Trial Mold) by Luang Phor Pae, Wat Pikun Thong, BE 2494, Powder Material
The Phra Somdej powder “Long Pim” (or trial mold Somdej) from BE 2494 (AD 1951) by Luang Phor Pae Khemangkaro, Wat Pikun Thong, Sing Buri Province, is considered the very first edition and a classic early classic amulet of Luang Phor Pae. It is the pioneering powder Somdej that Luang Phor created before the famous later series such as Pae Phan, Pae 3 Phan, Pae 9 Phan, or subsequent batches.
Origin and Creation History
- Creation Year: BE 2494 (during the period when Luang Phor Pae held the ecclesiastical title of Phra Kru Sri Phrom Sophit or around that time; he had just begun creating sacred amulets to restore the temple and propagate Buddhism).
- Purpose: Created to raise funds for restoring Wat Pikun Thong (the temple was in severe disrepair at the time) and to spread Buddhism. Luang Phor Pae favored creating Phra Somdej because of his deep respect for Somdet Phra Phutthacharn (To Phromrangsi) of Wat Rakhang. He once regretted losing a Phra Somdej from Wat Rakhang, leading to a vision from Somdet To advising him to let go. This inspired him to create Somdej replicas modeled after Wat Rakhang’s style for worship and distribution.
- Material and Process: Powder content (the first powder Somdej edition). It uses the five sacred powders (Phra Phutthakhun powder, Pathawi powder, Chakrawan powder, Tri Phet powder, Maha Sen powder) mixed with others, such as powder from 7 ancient texts, yantra powders from scriptures, etc. Luang Phor was extremely meticulous, maintaining purity of body and mind, focusing intensely on mantras and sacred scripts with unwavering concentration and no errors, resulting in highly potent material.
- “Long Pim” Mold: This is a trial or initial mold (Long Pim). Key characteristics include a flat back (no takrut or inscriptions), sharp but slightly rough front features, abundant coarse powder mass, deep and clear pressing (some pieces show shrinkage marks or tiny pores from aging). It is regarded as the “pioneering edition” before evolving into Pae Phan (brass material) or later tiger-pattern powder editions.
- Quantity Created: No exact figures, but very limited production as an early trial batch, making it extremely rare today (pristine high-condition pieces are almost never seen in the open market).
- Consecration Ceremony: Primarily consecrated by Luang Phor Pae himself, emphasizing mental power and arcane knowledge from his teachers (such as Luang Phor Sri of Wat Sri Sudaram, whom he respected). Key blessings include invulnerability, knife/gun protection, great charm (metta mahaniyom), wealth attraction, prosperity, and abundant fortune (but full effects require strict adherence to the Five Precepts).
Spiritual Powers and Reputation
This edition is highly regarded as Luang Phor Pae’s first powder Somdej, with strong historical experiences (in the 2490s–2500s era, devotees reported healing from illness, escaping dangers, booming business, and strong luck). It is a legendary collectible, very hard to acquire due to over 70 years of age; the surface often appears whitish-gray with tiny pores (from powder contraction), making authenticity relatively easy to spot.

简要制作历史 佛历2494年（公元1951年），隆波佩·ケマงกโร（Phra Dhammamuni），披坤通寺（Wat Phikul Thong）住持，新武里府，制作了多款粉质佛祖。这一批常被称为“龙模”（Long Pim）或“首批试印”，因为是他在真正开始大量制作圣物（约佛历2482年起）后的首次试压模具。这批粉质佛祖被公认为他粉质圣物的真正起点。
主要特点
- 隆波佩对**瓦拉康寺的สมเด็จพระพุฒาจารย์（โต พรหมรังสี）**极为尊崇。他曾因一尊真品佛祖而有深刻因缘（传说他曾非常遗憾失去一尊，后得梦境开示放下）。受此启发，他制作这些粉质佛祖，以延续相同的加持力量。
- 粉料主要使用五种神圣粉（Phong Wises Ha Pra Karn）：Itthijae粉、Pathamang粉、Maharaj粉、Tri Nisinghe粉、Phutthakhun粉。隆波佩全程以高度专注和清净身心持咒加持。
- 大多数为平背（部分有细微差异）。粉质较粗糙，内含明显圣物颗粒，压模清晰深邃。真正老品（现近75年）常有自然老化造成的小气孔或收缩痕迹 – 这是真品的经典特征。
为何叫“龙模”（试印）？ 因为是当年首次试做模具和压印的实验阶段。他制作了多个款式，收藏界常统称为佛历2494年首批粉质佛祖。在信众眼中，其功德不亚于经典瓦拉康佛祖 – 避险、招人缘、大发、广结善缘（但需持守五戒才能最大化加持）。
