Pha Yant Tukta Lek (Small Doll Yantra Cloth), Luang Pu Doo, Wat Sakae, circa 1977-1982
The “Tukta Lek” (Small Doll) Yantra cloth by Luang Pu Doo Prompanyo of Wat Sakae, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, created roughly between 1977 and 1982 (B.E. 2520-2525), is considered one of the most highly charged and unique talismans of the Wat Sakae lineage. This Yantra cloth is highly sought after among his disciples because it is a sacred object that profoundly reflects the loving-kindness and spiritual merit of Luang Pu Doo. The term “Tukta” (Doll) originates from the design of the central Yantra, which resembles a person meditating or a Buddha figure. It is a simple yet beautiful line art form embedded with deep Dhamma implications.
Materials and Creation Process: The creation of the Tukta Lek Yantra cloth during that era primarily utilized fine cotton or calico cloth, mostly in white and yellow. The Yantra was imprinted using a rubber stamp carved with the Small Doll Yantra pattern, stamped with standard stamp pad ink (mostly dark blue or black ink) onto each piece of cloth meticulously. The composition of the cloth features the Tukta Yantra in the center, surrounded by sacred ancient Khom characters according to Wat Sakae’s formulas, such as the heart of the Triple Gem and the Itipiso chant. Furthermore, some discovered Yantra cloths may have traces of sprinkled holy water or smudges of sacred Buddhist powder (Maha Chakkrapat powder) that Luang Pu Doo compassionately applied while mentally empowering them, giving the cloth signs of aging and increasing its mystical aura.
Consecration Ritual: Luang Pu Doo performed the consecration of these Yantra cloths through profound meditation within his cubicle. He did not merely recite incantations; he utilized the “Phuti Phra Phuttha Chao” (Spirit of the Buddha) magic and the “Opening of the Three Worlds” technique. He would invoke the virtues of the Triple Gem, the merit of Luang Pu Thuat (whom he revered highest as his grandmaster), and channel his mental currents using the Maha Chakkrapat (Great Emperor) chant to instill the energy of light into every single cloth. He often taught his disciples that to consecrate an object effectively, one must empower it until it becomes alive and radiates a bright aura. Therefore, this Yantra cloth was superimposed with the sphere of Dhamma and the pure mental energy of Luang Pu Doo over many years.
Experiences and Beliefs: Disciples and possessors of Luang Pu Doo’s Tukta Lek Yantra cloth frequently encounter outstanding experiences regarding boundless “Metta Mahaniyom” (loving-kindness and charm). Wherever they go, they are met with affection and assistance. In addition, it is highly renowned for “Klaew Klaad” (evasion of danger), protecting the bearer from perils and malevolent spirits. Many prefer to frame this Yantra cloth for home worship to ward off inauspicious entities, or fold it to carry along during travels. Moreover, for meditation practitioners following Luang Pu Doo’s lineage, this Yantra cloth is often used as a medium for focusing the mind during meditation. It is believed that the energy within the cloth helps balance the elements, calm the mind, and miraculously connect the practitioner to Luang Pu Doo’s current of Dhamma.
