Mae Nang Kwak (แม่นางกวัก) made of carved ivory (งาแกะ, ivory carved) by Luang Phor Kway (หลวงพ่อกวย) Chutinthonro (ชุตินฺธโร), Wat Khosit Tharam (วัดโฆสิตาราม), Chai Nat Province (จังหวัดชัยนาท), in the year B.E. 2521 (พ.ศ. 2521, which is A.D. 1978).
This amulet was created in 1978 as a commemorative item for the temple’s grand ordination hall consecration ceremony (งานผูกพัทธสีมาฝังลูกนิมิต, ceremony of tying the sacred boundary cords and burying the boundary stones). It was one of the major events and among the last large-scale consecrations where Luang Phor Kway blessed a large number of sacred objects, including items such as carved ivory Singh (สิงห์งาแกะ, lion) and Mae Nang Kwak in carved ivory.
The material is elephant ivory (งาช้าง, elephant tusk), hand-carved into the form of Mae Nang Kwak (Mae Nang Kwak) in a sitting position with one hand beckoning to attract wealth. Most pieces come with original casing (เลี่ยมเดิม, such as plastic or metal casing in antique style), available in both small and larger molds, but carved ivory versions are mostly small and compact, suitable for wearing or hanging. In that era, ivory was considered an ancient and valuable material, combined with Luang Phor Kway’s powerful consecration (ปลุกเสก), making it highly potent and revered.
Powers (พุทธคุณ) Renowned for Metta Maha Niyom (เมตตามหานิยม, great loving-kindness and popularity), luck, fortune, success in business negotiations, attracting money, gold, and customers to flow in continuously, leading to prosperous trade. It brings people to love and support without enemies, serving as a symbol of affection, compassion, protection, and granting fortune to worshippers.
Many devotees share experiences that after worshiping, business improves, wealth flows in, and they receive kindness from those around them (from devotee stories and shared experience videos).
Purpose of Creation (วัตถุประสงค์ในการสร้าง) Created as a commemorative sacred object for the temple’s ordination hall consecration ceremony (ผูกพัทธสีมาฝังลูกนิมิต). It aims to encourage worshippers to do good deeds, behave morally, boost morale in earning a living, and enhance auspiciousness in business and fortune. According to Luang Phor Kway’s teachings to disciples, sacred objects are not just talismans but help promote diligence in work while practicing Dharma at the same time.
