It was released during the annual Wai Kru (Master Thanksgiving) ceremony, a grand event highly anticipated by disciples nationwide. The primary objective of this creation was to raise funds for the restoration of temple buildings and to serve as a memorial to the grace of Luang Phor Guay, the supreme teacher and refuge of his disciples. The Hanuman carrying a flag Yant on the back is recognized as one of his signature yantras, renowned for victory, evasion of danger, and overcoming all obstacles.
Sacred Materials and Composition Although it is in the form of a photograph, the production process was exceptionally meticulous and sacred. The temple used high-quality photographic paper that underwent a proper ritual to inform the spiritual presence of Luang Phor Guay. The back is stamped with the “Hanuman Carrying a Flag Yant” using ink mixed with sacred materials, old Buddhist powders, and holy water from the temple. Additionally, there is a clear, annual authenticating rubber stamp code of Wat Kositaram to prevent forgery and serve as a crucial authentication mark for collectors. Some variations might be framed along with old monk’s robes (Jeewon) or sacred powder materials preserved by the temple to enhance its spiritual power.
Consecration Rituals (Putthapisek) The grand and powerful Putthapisek (consecration) ceremony was held at the ceremonial pavilion of Wat Kositaram. The temple invited numerous prominent master monks with great magical prowess of the current era to meditate and bless the amulets. However, the absolute core of the ceremony was the grand offering ritual to invoke the sacred spirit of Luang Phor Guay to descend, bestow his blessings, and personally empower his sacred objects. This firmly aligns with the deep-rooted belief among his direct disciples that “Even though Luang Phor Guay has passed away, if amulets are made in his name and he is properly invoked, he will come to bless them to be as powerful as when he was alive.”
